Welcome to Janssen Family Chiropractic! At our family friendly practice, you’ll quickly know that you’re in the right place to begin your journey toward healing and better health.

The First Visit

You’ll be given some paperwork to complete. After filling it out, you’ll meet with Dr. Janssen personally to talk about your health history, followed by a comprehensive exam. It may be determined that x-rays be performed to help Dr. Janssen provide the best care.

Please allow up to 45 minutes for this first appointment, including completing paperwork.

The Second Visit – Report of Findings

During this appointment, Dr. Janssen will go over the results of your exam and X-rays, if taken. In addition to providing your first chiropractic adjustment, he will recommend other therapies that he deems appropriate. This could be heat and/or electrical muscle stimulation if needed.

If therapy is provided, your appointment may take up to 30 minutes, whereas an adjustment only visit takes up to 15 minutes.

Regular Visits

The number of visits will then depend on what Dr. Janssen finds. In the beginning, typically, patients are scheduled more frequently, such as three days a week. Once your body starts to heal and “hold an adjustment” your visits will start to taper off systematically.

Do I Have to Go Forever?

Although Dr. Janssen doesn’t believe in high pressure tactics and long extended care plans, he does believe in a structured and organized care plan to achieve the best results. Once changes and progress have been made, he often recommends a once-a-month schedule to reinforce the changes made. Just like servicing your car at recommended intervals, maintenance visits allow your body to be the very best it can be.
